The Best We Could Do (graphic novel)

I read this a while ago but just wanted to throw this here so it's in the "right" spot!

Finally finished reading The Best We Can Do. My two cents — It felt: historically interesting, emotionally distant, intimate, like it captured kid perspective and adult perspective and makes you think about the legacy of trauma and what gets passed on via behavior and biology. The pacing and story structure was good. Dislike: equating adulthood and perspective with having kids. Overall I liked it a lot. I’m not in love with the illustration style (though it’s good and better than a lot of others!) but I am so so so impressed that she learned how to draw comics for this book. That is amazing.
